Mystery

When you look into her eyes, it's strange.
So much is stirring, yet there is no reaction.
Stories are told through the eyes, the soul stirs inside.
Unreadable stories, a shielded tome,
Protected inside her mind, by an unseen guard.

It' a mystery to me, it's an attraction not known.
A feeling unusual, a state of cold quiet,
Darkness seems misplaced here,
For outside her eyes, a friend, an ally.
Showing strength in silence, a muted masterpiece.

From a distance, her story is unknown,
Up close, I still can't read the story in her eyes.
I've never seen anyone like her before,
Friendly and open, yet quiet and withdrawn,
It's a mystery to me, but it intrigues me so.
